(Note: VMware 9.0.1, Windows 7 SP1 host OS, host material, Lenovo W5xx series workstation laptop).
So I thought I would attempt to access the backup file via the network.
That does not work either!
The Windows installation DVD (.iso image in fact) does not seem to detect the host network card.
However, I know the DVD includes the driver natively since I was able to install Windows 7 on the host machine without having to install the driver separately.
When I open the command prompt and type:
ipconfig
No network card is shown.
netsh interface ipv4 show config
and
netsh interface ipv4 show interfaces
only show the loopback interface, but not the Intel 82579LM Gigabit NIC.
Am I lacking the Intel drivers ... or are them some other VMware drivers that may be involved here as well???
