Windows 8 Unity and Multiple Monitors

I have VMWare Fusion 5.0.2 (900491) running on a Retina Display MacBook Pro running 10.8.2 with a Windows 8 OS in a VM.

I have the laptop screen and a secondary monitor.

Here are the issues I have when unplugging/plugging in the monitor.

• Maximize on the primary display has the title bar of the window hidden by the Mac Menu bar
• Maximize on the secondary display does not fill to the bottom of the display
• I have to manually adjust the display settings in windows 8 to extend to the secondary display whenever I plug in the second monitor, otherwise
  • The secondary mac display is the only windows display
  • the windows take up 1/4 the width of the secondary display

I tried uninstalling and re-installing the VMWare tools and that didn't seem to change things
