Can Workstation 9 and 8 be installed on 32-bit OS?

Hi,

I'm a newbie so please bear with me if my question is dumb. I have a Windows 2003 machine, which I'm pretty sure is 32-bit. I tried to install workstation 9.0 on it, and got the message

"Error: VMWare Workstation can not be installed on this computer. VMware Workstation requires eatures that are not present on your CPU. See the product release notes for specific hardware and software requirements".

Here is my Win2k3's info

Micorsoft Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition, Service Pack 2

Intel Xeon CPU 3.6Hz, 4GB of RAM

I really want to find out what it is exactly that VMWare needs. I looked up Workstation 9.0's documentation. It states:

"The host system must have a 64-bit x86 CPU that meets the following requirements."

So does that mean Workstation 9.0 only supports 64 bit machines? But its download link states it's for both? And I'm pretty sure I've installed it on other 32-bit Win7 machines with no problem.

Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Update: I also tried Workstation 8.0, and got the same issue. Please help
