That poses a concern as a downtime might be needed to add a host or remove a host to an EVC cluster. Worst case senerio, take some downtime for the VM's on the host and add remove the hosts to the EVC cluster with the VM's powered off. But then if you are to remove the host from the cluster later on anyway, you don't even have to enable or disable EVC as a VM would cold migrate across CPU models even with EVC disabled
